Richard John Zupan, 63 of Indianapolis, IN; formerly of Cleveland, OH area passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 12, 2014 with his daughters by his side.  Rich was a wonderful and loving Father, Grandfather, Brother, Uncle and Friend to many. He was born in Lorain, Ohio and served in the US Marine Corps. He worked in retail management throughout his career.  He was a member of St. Simon the Apostle in Indianapolis.  Originally from the Cleveland, Ohio area he remained a devoted Cleveland sports fan.  He enjoyed baking his famous pies, playing board games with family and most of all treasured the time he could spend with his grandchildren.  He is survived by daughter Christine Miller (Marc) of North Ridgeville, OH; daughter Maria Strater of Indianapolis, IN; stepsons Eric LaCourse and Jamie LaCourse; 8 grandchildren, 3 sisters and 4 brothers.  He is preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Patricia Zupan and 1 brother. A mass will be held at St. Mary’s in Avon, Ohio on Saturday, November 22, 2014 at 10:00 am, followed by graveside services at Elmhurst Park Cemetery in Avon, Ohio.  A memorial service will be planned in the Indianapolis area at a later date.  The family requests in lieu of flowers to send donations in memoriam to the Society of St. Vincent de Paul, 3001 E. 30^th St., Indianapolis, IN 46218, www.svdpindy.org.
